What is FEMM?

FEMM stands for Fertility Education and Medical Management. It is a fertility awareness based method that uses cervical mucus and LH testing to help women assess their hormones, overall health, and the time of fertility each cycle. This information can be used to help with family planning goals, in both achieving or avoiding pregnancy.

Courses

  • FEMM I: Introductory Session

This class teaches you the basics of charting your cycle. It also helps you understand the signs your body gives throughout the cycle, and how those signs can indicate hormonal and overall health.

  • FEMM II: Expert Session

Reproductive health affects the health of the entire body. This class is taken after FEMM I, and once cycle charting has already begun. The information in this class is a deeper dive into cycle biomarkers, and how to interpret these signs for overall health.

  • FEMM III: Family Planning

This class is offered after FEMM I and II are completed. The Family Planning session discusses how the cycle biomarkers can indicate the times of fertility each cycle. This knowledge can be used for achieving or avoiding pregnancy.

  • Chart Checks

This session allows a one-on-one review of your chart, with discussion of hormonal and overall health tailored to you.

Hi! I’m Leah Moretz, a wife and mama. I am a certified physician assistant and fertility awareness educator. Working in traditional healthcare, I have seen firsthand the struggle that women have with fertility and other gynecological issues. Oftentimes, the only solution patients are offered is to go on birth control. While that option may temporarily relieve symptoms, it is a band-aid on a problem that is not being addressed. I became a FEMM teacher to educate and empower women, and to help find a solution to their problems.
